It’s been almost 20 years since the passing of the great Tupac Shakur. While his death remains unfathomable for some, many have accepted his demise. Yet, some believe the prodigious rapper is still floating around.

The thought of Tupac being alive continues to be on the minds of many. With little to no hope in regards to finding a resolution to this never-ending tale, we venture down the road of conspiracies involving the most enigmatic emcee to ever touch the mic.

1. A Retired Cop Claims He Was Offered $1.5 Million To Stage Tupac’s Death.

Most recently, retired police officer David Meyers alleged that he was paid $1.5 million to help fake Tupac’s death. But some of the details appear a bit murky on his end. Meyers delivered the news on his deathbed and is completely delusional at this point. He also mentioned that Pac paid $50,000 for a body double to evade any more controversy in his drama-laden life. “The world needs to know what I did. I’m ashamed that I let a price be put on my word and I cannot die without letting the world know,” he said to The Mirror. In addition, Meyers explained how former Death Row CEO Suge Knight played an integral part in staging Pac’s death. Brazen or not, we think that Meyers’ confession is a bit off.

2. Tupac Is Alive & Well In Cuba.

A lot of people have tried to plant Tupac in Cuba because of his Aunt, Assata Shakur. The former political activist caused tremors back in the day due to her relentless approach to opening doors for African-Americans. In 1977, she was convicted of killing a New Jersey police officer and escaped prison. In 1984, she fled to Cuba after she was given political asylum. If you remember, Pac was deeply entrenched in Black politics, and his mother was a member of the Black Panthers.

3. Tupac Was Abducted By Aliens.

This claim doesn’t make any sense at all, but some actually considered the possibility that Pac was abducted by aliens after he passed away. A site revealed that Pac was taken by aliens to pen some new bars for their enjoyment. Here’s a snippet of what ReoCities website says in reference to his abduction:

The aliens used their technology to create what appeared to be a shooting. In reality, it was all a three dimensional hologram. After Tupac supposedly “died”, the aliens took him to their space ship and made a deal: we’ll allow you to continue to release tracks on Earth and get paid off of the record sales if you come with us to Planet Yilamhar and be our dope MC for 1000 years. You will get paid from the sales of records on our world, have all of the phattest honeys you want, and we will also use our technology to keep you young forever. He has been guaranteed Eternal Life on Earth as well once he returns. Since Pac thought that the aliens had raised him from the dead, how could he refuse?

All reports from our organization, Children of the Thug Immortal, tell us that the Space Heads are worshipping him on Yilamhar and treating him like a god. Therefore we should NOT be sad, but rejoice in knowing that Pac’s music will be with us always and someday he will return home forever!!

Pac will be returning to us in the Year 3000 in order to give some real flavor to the future generations (or dare I say Nation?) of Hip Hop Heads on Earth. Until then, we must spread the word so that our descendants will be ready to get their groove on when the Thug Immortal returns to Earth. I REPEAT: WE MUST SPREAD THE WORD SO THAT OUR DESCENDANTS WILL BE READY IN THE YEAR 3000 TO GREAT THE GREAT THUG IMMORTAL WHEN HE RETURNS TO EARTH.

4. The FBI Set Him Up.

Many have speculated that the FBI wanted to take Tupac down. John Potash, the author of The FBI War on Tupac Shakur and Bandleaders, meticulously dissected Pac’s death and concluded that the government wanted to axe the “Hail Mary” rapper because of his influence and ties to the Black Panthers. In an interview with AHH, Potash explained how the revered lyricist was targeted and finally gunned down by the government because of his desire to change the lives of African-Americans.

“He had very close relationships with his extended Black Panther Party family, who acted as his mentors, not to mention that he was trying to do more positive things,” he says. “[The government] orchestrated his assassination.”

Potash believed the FBI attempted to take down Shakur in 1994 when he was shot at Quad Studios. The orchestrated shoot-out failed, but according to Potash, the government agency sought vengeance two years later.

5. Suge Knight’s Wife Set Up Tupac.

Back in June, Jeff Weiss wrote an extensive piece highlighting a new theory revolving around the death of Tupac Shakur. Former LAPD officer Russell Poole – who worked aggressively around the cases of both Tupac and Biggie – thought that Suge Knight’s wife, Sharitha Knight, and the former head of Death Row security, Reggie Wright Jr., were co-conspirators in the murder of Pac. Poole believes that Knight’s wife eagerly wanted to take over her husband’s empire. In order for her dream to become a reality, she needed to take her husband out of the picture.”Suge wasn’t divorced yet and if he died in that hit, she’d get most of everything,” Poole said. “So she went to Wright Jr., who was in charge of Death Row and ran it while Suge was in prison.” “[Wright Jr.] has gotten away with it this whole time,” Poole explained. “They floated a whole lot of propaganda to former LA Times reporter Chuck Phillips — calling in hundreds if not thousands of fake clues.”
