Don’t expect #ManBunMonday to be trending in Idaho.

Brigham-Young University has banned the popular hairstyle from their Idaho campus, describing the look as too “extreme.” What the heck? The religious school’s strict honor code keeps their students in check down to their looks, by ensuring that “the dress and grooming standards are consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ.” How ironic; didn’t Jesus have long hair?

The honor code specifically states that men can only rock hairstyles described as “clean and neat, avoiding extreme styles of colors and trimmed above the collar leaving the ear uncovered.”

Fortunately for all of you man bun enthusiasts, the trend will continue to live on outside of BYU. Plus, we’re pretty sure man buns weren’t a regular sight on campus anyway.
