New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz is known for his footwork on the field and sneaker collection off the field.

Despite having a minor injury setback this season, it’s safe to say Victor’s sneaker collection is flourishing in Complex’s latest episode of Complex Closets. The football player’s impressive closet is outfitted with blue backlights and custom wooden shelves made to showcase his kicks as much as possible. Vic reveals that from ideation to completion, the sneaker closet took about a year to complete in his New Jersey home. Victor’s collection offers a different perspective than other sneaker personalities, because he isn’t scared to rock something other than Jordan brand, and he actually knows what he’s talking about. His collection also includes Huaraches and Sock Darts, just a few of Nike’s most iconic running silhouettes that countless sneakerheads have camped out for.

Cruz’s Jordan collection is pretty serious and Vic notes that he has doubles of his favorite pair, offering some truth to the phrase “1 to rock, 1 to stock.” He’s even got a few Doernbecher Jordans, which are designed by kids being treated at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital near Nike’s Beaverton, Oregon headquarters. The pairs are auctioned off with proceeds going to the hospital. Cruz also has the coveted Air Jordan 10 “OVO” that released a few months ago in very limited quantities.

More important than any other sneaker in his collection is his signature – The Air Trainer Cruz 1, more commonly referred to as the Air Cruzs. Like many trainers, the shoe features a rugged outsole and a mid-foot strap for added stability and style. Victor’s first sneaker is slated to hit stores later this month, with several other colors releasing later, including a blue pair in honor of the Giants. There’s a discretely blacked out pair that he designed for his late father, with the velcro mid-foot strap reading his name, Mike, and the heel strap including Vic’s high school jersey number.

Let’s just hope that Giants fans will have the opportunity to rock the blue ones come this year’s Super Bowl in the Bay Area.
