You’re never too old to put this on your Christmas list.

The fans spoke, and Mattel Toys listened. Following a successful social media campaign, the company announced the release of an Ava DuVernay doll, and it’s basically the Barbie we all need. The first African-American woman to direct a movie nominated for Best Picture took to Twitter to announce the exciting news to her 141,000 followers, who helped make #AvaBarbie come to life.

Initially, only a single version of the doll was going to be auctioned off for charity in April, but Ava’s followers pushed for mass production. Understandably, fans are pretty excited.

Ava has pledged to donate the doll’s proceeds to the nonprofit organizations, Color Of Change and WITNESS.

#AvaBarbie goes on sale today, and although Mattel has yet to release info on where and when to purchase the doll, people can hardly wait.

We’re so here for it.
