To celebrate his sophomore album release today, August Alsina unleashed a video for the track “Song Cry.”
Taken from the LP This Thing Called Life, August finds himself in the same introspective mood as Jay Z did on his song of the same name. August croons about trying to let go of some of life’s pain by leaving it all on wax and getting it off his chest. The New Orleans native can be seen singing in the rain; though not nearly as iconic as Usher’s “U Got It Bad,” the sentiment is the same.
