Patti Labelle snatched out souls last night (Dec. 18), as she ignited the stage at WBLS’ Christmas in the City concert in Newark, N.J. And besides kicking off her shoes and shutting it down with that superhuman voice, her soul majesty invited a special viral superstar to take the stage with her.
James Wright, who recently became everyone’s favorite pie connoisseur after his YouTube clip raving about Patti’s Pies (currently hard to find at your nearest Walmart store) went viral, joined Miss Patti onstage and tore up “Lady Marmalade.” Dressed in a red leather jacket flanked with a black feather cape, James had the Newark crowd screaming for him in his own right. Baby, he’s a star.
Check out a clip of Patti and James completely killing and taking all the names. Also, keep in mind that Patti Labelle is 71-years-old. The force is undoubtedly with her.
