Get ready for Karrueche Tran‘s 2016 takeover.
Karrueche is rapidly becoming one of Hollywood’s hardest working women. With two movies already under her belt this year, it’s clear the 27-year-old has no plans on slowing down. She’s also gearing up for her makeup line debut in collaboration with ColourPop Cosmetics.
Set for release on February 4th, the KaePop collection will feature everything from versatile liquid lipsticks, to vibrant highlighters; a compilation of products set to satisfy the beauty addict in you.
ColourPop is known for its super pigmented formulas, so it makes sense for Karrueche to partner up with a cosmetic line that promises to deliver quality over quantity.
GlobalGrind’s Kat Sanchez caught up with Kae to discuss what fans can expect from her makeup collection. The actress also revealed how she keeps her skin looking flawless, and offers advice on dealing with annoying breakouts.
GG: How did your collaboration with ColourPop come about?
Karrueche: It was a deal done through my management. They were in talks back and forth and finally we decided to collaborate, which was so awesome.
What can fans expect from your collection?
Everyday natural colors. I wanted to do a collection everyone can relate to, regardless of skin color. Each shade looks great with any color and can be used for day or night-time looks.
What is the one makeup item, or product, you can’t live without?
Chapstick! I’m so addicted.
If you only have 10 minutes to get ready, what are the three makeup products you’re grabbing?
Anastasia eyebrow wiz pencil
Smashbox Full Exposure mascara
Your skin looks flawless at all times. What does your current skin care routine look like?
Kiehl’s is my go-to for face wash and moisturizer. Their products are great. I also do lots of facemasks to keep my skin fresh and replenished. I also always make sure I wipe my makeup off every night.
What advice would you give someone who may be struggling to maintain clear, glowing skin?
Drinks lots and lots of water! Understand what type of skin you have and work around it. If you have oily skin or dry skin, buy products that will help. Use facemasks every week to keep your face fresh.
Bonus question: Which makeup application do you consider yourself a pro in? Eyebrows, highlight, maybe contouring?
Eyebrows! I never leave the house without them.
Who else can’t wait to get their hands on some KaePop?
