The Huffington Post uncovered a vintage Good Morning America interview with Kris and Caitlyn Jenner, who were friends with O.J. Simpson and his murdered ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson.

The news outlet posted the interview ahead of Tuesday night’s premiere of American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson. It reveals that Simpson has remained steadfast in his denial of murdering Nicole and waiter Ron Goldman at her Brentwood, Los Angeles home in 1994.

Kris Jenner’s ex-husband Robert Kardashian famously defended Simpson along with Johnnie Cochran and several other lawyers. But Kris sat in the courtroom with then-husband Bruce Jenner (now known as Caitlyn) hoping for a conviction.

Kris told GMA‘s Bill Ritter that she and her ex did not discuss the trial, and kept conversations limited to their children.

She then explained that she received several calls from O.J. after he was incarcerated.

“I didn’t do it,” Simpson told Kris when he called her from jail. They had been friends for 20 years at the time of the incident.

Bruce Jenner went on to add: “Two people were brutally murdered here … somebody has to pay for that for a long time.”
