Two small planes reportedly collided in the air just off of the Los Angeles Harbor on Friday afternoon.

The U.S Coast Guard says the incident occurred around 3:30 pm. Investigators believe two men, ages 61 and 81, were aboard a Beechcraft plane, this information stemming from a pilot’s logbook that was found during the search. According to ABC News: “The other plane, a Super Decathlon flown by a 72-year-old woman, is missing, and air traffic controllers saw two aircraft apparently run into each other on radar, leading authorities to conclude they must have collided.

The names of the missing have not yet been released and the Coast Guard says a thorough investigation, over a 200-square-mile radius, will continue through Friday evening and Saturday. We pray for all those involved and will keep you updated as more news surfaces.
