Really?

Dolce & Gabbana is the latest fashion brand to appear culturally tone-deaf; the brand’s selling a new shoe named the “Slave Sandal.” The offensive footwear is featured on their website as part of their Spring 2016 collection, and as if the name wasn’t outrageous enough, this style fail is priced at $2,395.

Quickly noticed by Footwear News, the name “Slave Sandal” has now been changed to “Bianca,” following backlash from various outlets and consumers. Retailers such as Saks are simply referring to the item as the pom-pom sandal. After all, that’s essentially what it is.

This isn’t the first time this brand has offended. Back in 2013, it sent Blackamoor earrings down the runway, prompting valid calls of racism.

D&G, what were you thinking?
