Women’s History Month is officially underway, and Ebony is kicking it off with a statement.
The magazine unveiled the cover of their March issue featuring plus-sized celebrities of color, Jazmine Sullivan, Gabi Fresh, Chrisette Michelle, and Danielle Brooks. Dubbed “The Curvy Confessionals,” the cover story shows the women outfitted in militant gear while posing with props of the same theme.
Inside the issue, the four cover stars participate in an “unfiltered” discussion about the stigma Black women face when it comes to body image, and what it’s like to be an average size twelve in a society that idolizes a size four.
