The Hip-Hop community mourned a legend earlier this week. Many rappers, including Busta Rhymes, paid homage to the outstanding contribution Phife Dawg made to Hip-Hop. Lil’ Kim hopped on Twitter last night to unveil the cover art for her soon-to-be-released mixtape titled Lil’ Kim Season. The rapper and former Junior Mafia first lady hopped on a few features lately, including her verse on Maino’s “I Did It For Brooklyn,” and “That B*tch” – a remix to Omarion‘s “I’m Up.” Those impromptu releases were just the build-up for Lil’ Kim’s upcoming project, which will drop next week. After the tragic events that happened in Brussels earlier this week, Mariah Carey has cancelled her show. The R&B icon tweeted her fans: “I love my fans in Brussels and at this time I am being advised to cancel my show for the safety of my fans, my band, crew and everyone involved with the tour. I hope to see you soon and send my prayers and eternal love, laughter and light to my Lambs.” Belgian police have been working hard to find suspects related to the Tuesday attacks. [Billboard]

A new Empire season means a new soundtrack. The Lee Daniels-directed show is scheduled to release a new soundtrack: Empire: Original Soundtrack, Season 2 Volume 2.
