The chain’s Chief Digital Officer, Atif Rafiq, discussed the new system with TheStreet, saying:
“We will be piloting ordering capabilities through mobile in some geographies outside the United States this year. It’s important for us to work out the kinks so we can scale it up as soon as possible.”
McDonald’s is currently rolling out a number of new implementations after suffering sales drops in recent years. In addition to the mobile ordering system, McD’s is planning to modernize its customer service and introduce its first loyalty program.
