Yesterday, Rihanna announced she recorded a new song for the Star Trek: Beyond soundtrack. And today it is here.
“Sledgehammer” was written by Australian singer/songwriter Sia, who’s also responsible for penning Rihanna’s 2012 mega hit “Diamonds.”
“Yeah, I hit a wall, but I prayed I’d make it through/ I can’t survive a life that’s without you, yeah/ and I rise up from the ashes now, the ashes now,” sings RiRi.
Rihanna will embark on the European leg of her “ANTI World Tour” in July, which will include DJ Mustard as her opening act.
Star Trek: Beyond is due out in theaters nationwide on July 22. Listen to Rihanna’s “Sledgehammer” below.
