The battle between Keshia Knight Pulliam and Ed Hartwell has now affected their unborn child. Pulliam took to her podcast Kandidly Keshia to reveal that she changed the name she had picked out for her daughter to reflect her messy divorce from the former NFL player.

I was back and forth on if I wanted to share this or not, but I decided that I would because it is so hard for me to keep it in,” she said. “I’m so excited about her name. Her name is Ella Grace.”

She continued, “When I tell you through all of this the grace of God has so been with us and has covered us and protected us — she’s been my saving grace to get through it.” Adding, “It’s knowing that it’s not about me. Knowing that on days when I want to curl up in the bed, pull the covers over my head and cry until my eyes fall out, that is not an option, because she feels everything I feel, and right now, it is bigger than me — it’s about her. It is about her being OK.”

The protection Keshia is referring to may have something to do with her allegations that her ex tried to harm her pregnancy with the intention of forcing a miscarriage.

Hartwell has denied all his estranged wife’s claims and has made it clear he wants nothing but the best for the child, so the name change will certainly sting a little.
