Hi, Im Auburn… I’d say the best way I’d describe myself in a nutshell is as a Songwriter/Singer/Rapper/Dork. I was born in Minneapolis, MN and raised in Saint Paul. In my mom’s house there was no such thing as secular music. Since I was a child, my mom only allowed Gospel music in the house …with Whitney and Celine being the only acceptations.

I loved the emotion in every singers voice. Loved it so much I’d try and mimic every riff until it felt comfortable enough for me to sing the words with my own emotion. I started singing at four as a little girl in church and now I’m just a bigger girl in LA.

When I was sixteen, I stumbled across Myspace after a cousin told me how ‘out of the loop’ I was. I noticed there was an option for Music and I was just so excited because it was free! lol. My fans – being the most genuine and most supportive fans ever – pushed the music as they listened and told their friends about me, and then those people told their friends to check out my page. Later in 2007, Tommy Rotem, an A&R at Beluga Heights, came across my page. They flew me out to LA and I’ve been here making music ever since.

I’m signed to Beluga Heights/Warner Brothers and being the only female artist in my Beluga music family (J.R, Jason Derulo, Iyaz, Mann, Sean Kingston) is the best! I love my boys. We all make music together without it feeling like work… we just create.

I’ve been patient, knowing I’ve been blessed, to have something I thought I could only have imagined.

Now my FIRST Single ‘LA LA LA ‘ feat my ‘Yaga Man’ Iyaz is finally here and I’ve never been more excited. It’s weird because I’ve never been good at expressing excitement….I’ve always been that way. But this, this makes me smile so much it hurts… it gives me so many butterflies.

I fell in love with this song, actually its origin has a very different story behind it which I will tell you all another time. Everyone’s input, the fans’ response, and thoughts on ‘LA LA LA’ has been phenomenal. Yes, that amazing!

I know that things will only progress the more my fans and I connect and genuinely relate emotionally. As long as people realize I’m not the reason I got here – I give credit to God and the people who actually listened, respected and encouraged me to keep realizing my dream. With God in every thank you – and a special thank you to every person who gave me the courage to keep moving forward.

Im looking forward to whats up ahead. I’m confident knowing I can actually express ‘me’: the dorky, goofy, chill girl from Minnesota.
