Cali’s own Audio Push has a hot new joint that got a lot of attention this week, called “Shine.” It’s off their new project dropping in September titled Come As You Are. Oktane and Price have been burning down West Coast rhyme circles for a minute. With a major Hit-Boy co-sign and a few beats of his to freestyle over, this duo has become one of the hottest new up-and-coming groups in hip hop. Shine is exactly its namesake with top-notch production.

The Queen of Miami took a long hiatus but Trina is back on the scene with a new banger, “Ass Fat.” It features MMG capo Meek Mill. This is guaranteed to start the party, but Trina is spitting some of the hottest verses that I’ve heard her spit in a while. If “Ass Fat” can make it out of the hood it has possible anthem status with a Nikki Minaj remix written all over it.

The La Leakers were the first DJ collective that put me onto a new MC a few years back named Nipsey Hussle. This week I heard new music from Neighborhood Nip called “Summertime In A Cutlass.” This is that mellow Cali music you need to roll sticky to as that fresh production courtesy of The Futuristiks blazes through your speaker.

Jason Derulo has been a pop superstar since he entered the game. However this new single of his, “Talk Dirty,” walks the fine line between urban smash and possible pop trash. The song itself is dope. Derulo’s singing talents never disappoint and for extra added firepower he features a sure fire 16 bar freestyle courtesy of Mr. Feature Killa 2 Chainz. It will be interesting to see if this record gets the right push but it’s most definitely must hear music.

For all my fans of the A$AP Mob and the Joey Fats movements, the name A$ton Matthews is nothing new. For everybody else, his new single “Kamikaze” is a good way to get familiar. Until we read again….
