Amanda Seales, formerly Amanda Diva, stopped by our offices to chat about relationships, the hip-hop world and why she decided to drop the name “Diva.”
According to Amanda, “Diva” just wasn’t fitting anymore. As hip-hop culture changed, she found herself unable to relate and not liking the stigma that was attached to the name, so she made the change.
Amanda is preparing to star in her second one-woman show ever, titled “It’s Complicated.” The show provides funny answers to serious questions about love and forces audience members to participate and laugh at the mistakes we’re all making in relationships.
Amanda says this won’t be the last we’ll see of her and her one-woman act! She plans to do another show soon. Be on the lookout for that.
