Lee Daniels’ The Butler opens in theaters this Friday and two of the film’s actors are speaking out about justice today.

In LDTB, Louis Gaines, son of butler Cecil Gaines, is motivated to join the civil rights movement after the death of Emmett Till.

Oprah previously explained to GlobalGrind that Trayvon and Emmett Till were the same -meaning both their deaths are motivating young kids to change the world.

So we asked Jesse Williams and Terrence Howard, two of the stars of The Butler, how Trayvon Martin will impact the youth of today. Jesse pointed out that:

“There’s a lot of young black men getting gunned down because people felt they were threatened. Unarmed boys who were supposedly threats, because being a black man in this country is sometimes a threat in itself.”

Meanwhile, Terrence Howard chatted it up about making out with Oprah Winfrey, but after he was done loving O, he spoke about the Trayvon Martin case, saying that he hopes it can change gun laws and the right to defend yourself.
