With Drake’s wedding bell jam “Hold On, We’re Going Home” making a major splash on the radio, it’s only right Janelle Monae continues the love trend with her new single “Primetime” featuring Miguel.
Miss Monae and Miguel team up to release a soulful new R&B ballad titled “Primetime.” The ’80s-inspired electric guitar-riddled ballad features Janelle and Miguel exchanging sweet melodies over the passionate tune.
“Tick tock, I’m watching the clock/I can’t wait til we get to rock/I want to scream and dream and throw a love parade, is that okay,” sings Janelle.
“Primetime” is off Janelle Monae’s forthcoming album, Electric Lady, due out September 10. Electric Lady features guest appearances by Miguel, Erykah Badu, Prince, Solange, and Esperanza Spalding.
