The unexpected death of actor Lee Thompson Young became even more of a mystery after authorities reported that Young did not leave a suicide note.
The news of his death broke on Monday, when police found the 29-year-old’s body in his North Hollywood apartment. It appeared that Young intentionally shot himself. Sources are saying that Young did have a diary, but nothing he wrote reveals why he decided to take his own life.
Before his tragic death, Young was starring in the TNT drama Rizzoli & Isles. Now following this incident, the show temporarily stopped production out of respect.
Rizzoli & Isles executive producer Janet Tamaro issued a statement about the actor:
“Everyone at Rizzoli & Isles is devastated by the news of the passing of Lee Thompson Young,” Tamaro said. “We are beyond heartbroken at the loss of this sweet, gentle, good-hearted, intelligent man. He was truly a member of our family. Lee will be cherished and remembered by all who knew and loved him, both on- and offscreen, for his positive energy, infectious smile and soulful grace. We send our deepest condolences and thoughts to his family, to his friends and, most especially, to his beloved mother.”
