It’s been a week since secretary Antoinette Tuff talked a would-be-shooter from opening fire on the elementary students at her school. But now shooter Michael Brandon Hill’s brother, Timothy, is speaking out to talk about his brother’s mental disorders and struggles. When asked by Piers Morgan if the system failed his family after trying to get him help numerous times, he suggested that “rich, famous people” who reach out to the victims of tragedies should instead reach out to “people that have mental disorders and can wind up doing something he did.” And yes, he was referring to President Obama’s call to hero Tuff. The University of Texas at Austin is investigating a racial attack against an African-American student after he reported that he was the victim of a “bleach bomb.” Bryan Davis told Austin-based FOX 7 that he was walking to a friend’s house past an apartment complex popular with students when he was hit with what he says was a chemical-filled balloon. He wasn’t injured, but throwing the whitening agent is considered extremely offensive to minorities and could cause severe burns or blindness. [HuffPost]

Three teenagers, aged 15, 16, and 17-years-old, were shot at during a game of basketball in Milwaukee on Monday evening. The shooting seems to have stemmed from a previous argument over a cigarette. The minors appear to be OK, but the suspect is still on the loose. [TodaysTMJ4]
