The perfection of simplicity when it comes to clothing is a feat not easily met, but when Kaufman-Franco have their way, the balance of opposites can be achieved with the precision of clean lines and artisanal precision.

On September 9th, 2013 at the Theater at Lincoln Center, Alessandra Ambrosio opened and closed the show, while Ashley Greene, Olivia Palermo, Katie Cassidy and Jane Krakowski sat front row all wearing pieces from the label.

But what hit the runway was far more enticing that who was sitting front row. For Spring 2014, designers Ken Kaufman and Isaac Franco aimed to reclaim sportswear as their own after years of being pigeonholed by the media. The line consists mainly of daytime wear with soft palettes of neutrals, with Paratrooper dresses and silk organza dresses, but still came to play in the red carpet arena with beautiful golden gowns.

Trends spotted: whites, leathers, daytime chic

Faces in the front row:  Ashley Greene, Olivia Palermo, Katie Cassidy and Jane Krakowski

My rating: I.want.it.all. The collection is the definition of ready to wear. Ready to wear today, without a special occasion, without re-inventing your personal style, just ready to take off the runway and go. Also, kudos to the duo for their casting of not only beautiful models, but diverse ones.

My favorite look: I am torn on this one because I loved every single look that walked down that runway. It would have to be Alessandra’s opener Optic tissue plonge back jogger paired with the plonge stretch pencil skirt (pictured below).
