This morning’s shooting at the Washington Navy Yard is still an active scene, but from what we’ve learned so far and all the photos we’ve seen, we should all be praying not only for the victims, but every single person in the area, as the events are still unfolding.

Here is what we know so far:

-The gunman has been identified as 34-year-old Aaron Alexis from Fort Worth, Texas – he was identified via his fingerprints

-The shooter entered building #197 inside the Washington Navy Yard facilities where he shot a security guard at the entrance. The chief medical officer at an area hospital confirmed there were 3 victims in critical condition [2 women, 1 man] inside her trauma unit who had been shot, but is confident they will all survive.

-He entered using another person’s ID badge.

-The first call came into DC police around 8:15AM EST

-The gunman is dead, but police are still trying to locate 1 other possible shooter: a black male about 50 years old, armed and in military-style uniform, the other possible suspect reported earlier [a white man in military-style uniform] has been cleared of any possible connection

-13 confirmed dead [including gunman]

-The shooter had an AR-15 assault weapon, a shotgun and a handgun on his person

-At least 10 people were shot [this number may still increase].

-There are 8 public schools and 1 private school currently on lockdown in the area.

-Some witnesses say the shooter targeted specific victims.

-President Obama has been briefed on the situation.

-The FBI has taken over the investigation.
