It’s been a long road for R&B singer/songwriter Mateo.
The journey to success for the “How Good Is Your Love” singer hasn’t been an easy one. From being signed to an unpromising deal with MySpace records, to spending many lonely days and nights in New Jersey as he struggled to get his music career off the ground, Mateo has been through it all.
But things are looking up for the “Sing About Me” singer. Recently, Mateo toured alongside R&B divas Keyshia Cole and Chrisette Michele, and now he’s fresh off the release of his new EP, We’ve Met Before.
Mateo stopped by the offices of GlobalGrind to give us an exclusive performance of his smash hit “How Good Is Your Love” and his introspective ballad “Sing About Me.” Mateo also revealed how he made the risky decision to quit his corporate job to pursue his music career.
