Once upon a time, there was a black and white space that separated the realms of womenswear and menswear…and then there was Marc Jacobs.
During his 16 years at the helm of Louis Vuitton, the designer stood steadfast to his individuality when it came not only to his personal style, but to the aesthetic he brought to the historic French fashion house. And now that he has finally bid Louis Vuitton au revoir after an impressive run, Mr. Jacobs is on to better things. Amongst those aforementioned “better things” is personal investment in his namesake brand.
The days of LV may be in his rearview, but alas, one thing that will remain is Marc’s investment in being one of the most fearless to ever do it. From the most outlandish lace outfits at the Met Gala, to the Halloween outfits that made us do a gender double take, there is no better time than now to celebrate Marc’s versatility.
