The students of Duncan High School in Oklahoma have been greatly effected by the aftermath of Christopher Lane‘s murder.

After the Australian-native was killed in a drive-by shooting by three teenagers, the town is attempting to lift spirits.

In a new video released by a student of the school, the school population is seen gathering together to do a choreographed dance to Katy Perry‘s “Roar”, titling the video “Hear Duncan Roar”.

The student captions the video:

The project Hear Duncan Roar was one that I was privileged to help out on. The students of Duncan High School worked long and hard on the production and choreographed original dances to the song ROAR by Katy Perry. The reason behind the making of this video is a contest that Good Morning America and Katy Perry put on about how High Schools can pick themselves up and unite after a tragedy. Duncan has experienced some pretty brutal things recently, so when they approached me with the idea, I was honored be a part of it.

After all the town has been through, even more details are emerging in the shooting death of Christopher, according to the Oklahoman.

The site says that Christopher, who was jogging while visiting his girlfriend in the town at the time, had been “screaming” right as he was shot in the drive-by.

One of the suspects, Michael Dewayne Jones recently admitted that he was, in fact, the driver who encouraged one of the teens in the car to shoot Lane.

An investigator wrote in court papers:

“Jones advised that Chancey Luna had fired the shot that struck Christopher Lane and that Jones heard Christopher Lane scream as the shot was fired.”

He also revealed that Jones said he concealed the gun moments after the shooting in a factory compartment under the hood of his Ford Focus.

We pray for the family of Christopher Lane and hope that the town of Duncan can be at peace.
