This is definitely the Freida Pinto we have been waiting to see!

After dominating both Hollywood and Bollywood, the Indian beauty became one of the red carpet’s favorite faces worldwide, as she nailed perfect looks at every single occasion from award shows to Cannes red carpets. Now, after an entire career in the making, the actress has landed the cover of Vogue India for the second time, and she didn’t come to play coy.

Freida’s infectious smile is absent from the cover of Vogue India‘s sixth anniversary issue, and it’s replaced with a brooding gaze, kohl-rimmed eyes, and that just-sexed-then-windswept hair that only works on magazine covers.

But when it comes to promoting her culture, the 28-year-old claims she gets upset when she’s questioned about not wearing saris on the red carpet:

“I am Indian; I don’t need to wear a sari to promote Indianness. A sari is not more Indian than my soul. I have no patience for people who are narrowminded… just be a global citizen and be proud of where you come from.”

In the behind the scenes interview, Freida talks being star-struck by Leonardo DiCaprio and who she would want to be seated next to if she made it to the Oscars.
