BET celebrated the beauty, intellect, and power of black women in Hollywood during their annual Black Girls Rock award show.
Hosted by actresses Regina King and Tracee Ellis Ross, the annual award show honored the legacy and achievements of R&B diva Patti LaBelle, who tore the house down with her performance of “You Are My Friend.”
Patti LaBelle’s show-stopping set wasn’t the only noteworthy performance. Kelly Rowland teamed up with rapper Eve and R&B newcomer Sevyn Streeter for a remixed version of her Talk A Good Game banger “Gone,” and Janelle Monae put on an electrifying performance of her empowering hit “Electric Lady.”
