Just weeks before a defense bill with provisions to tackle sexual assaults in the military is set to hit the Senate floor, new Pentagon figures are showing that those same reports have increased sharply during the last fiscal year. According to the New York Times, there were 3,553 sexual assault complaints reported to the Defense Department in the first three quarters of the fiscal year, from October 2012 through June — a shocking 50 percent increase over the same period a year earlier. So apparently there is a group of teen boys in New Zealand who call themselves the “Roast Busters” and have created a club where they pick up underage girls, give them alcohol, and gang rape them. And get this — the two teens who started the “rape club” and embarked on a campaign of luring girls into sex groups, then before boasting about their ‘exploits’ on Facebook, will not be charged.
