After teasing us with sultry stills, live performance clips and Navy countdowns, Rihanna has finally released her music video for her latest single “What Now.” Now, we’ve seen it, we loved it…and what now? Now we talk about the fashion.

Even when she’s trying to be a minimalist, Rihanna’s style is still present. While the masses of fashion lovers may not be able to pull off a leather romper or a complete vintage Fila look as well as Rihanna, “What Now” brought more style inspo than expected. Unlike her previous music videos that featured grandiose costumes, (ahem, “Pour It Up“) this “toned down” (by her standard) look in “What Now” gives us the opportunity to try out some new trends, Rihanna-style.

Check out 4 totally recreatable styles rocked by Rihanna in her “What Now” video.

1. Nude Lips:

For the last few seasons, lips have been all about a “pop of color,” but Rihanna’s muted makeup look is one worth toying with. In the video, Rihanna dons her RiRi Hearts MAC collection “Nude” colored lips. While a good shade of nude lips was previously hard to find, Rihanna’s new collection carries the perfect shade. Find out more about it here.

2. White Nails:

Much like the lips, manicures have taken a step away from the demure in lieu of more dramatic nail art. While we have no quarrels with a lil good ol’ fashioned nail art, Rihanna’s oval-filed nails in stark white are a safe departure from bold brights, soft pinks and skin-blending neutrals. They’re stark, and still make a statement.

3. Maxi Dresses and Boots:

Break out those Doc Martens and introduce them to one of the more romantic pieces in your wardrobe, like a sheer maxi dress. The light flow of the fabric will offset the grit of a bulky boot for a comfy, yet sweet look like Rihanna rocks in the video. Think of the combo as something Juliet would wear circa 2013 if she were a Kanye fan.

4. A Choker:

We know, ‘90s grunge is back and sometimes it is a bit of an overkill, but look at how Rihanna’s Spice Girl-era choker provides the perfect bit of contrast on her bare neckline. Don’t want to invest in the trend? Double wrap a long necklace to achieve Rihanna’s choker effect.

4.5. Over Accessorizing:

Those stacked rings. Seriously, just throw ’em all on. Follow up by piling on all those bangles and mix a little metal if you’re feeling risque!
