If Barneys has it their way, their latest campaign is going to make you forget all about the black people they wrongfully accused of shoplifting during the holiday season.

For its spring advertising campaign, Barneys New York photographed 17 transgender men and women. Barneys’ campaign, called “Brothers, Sisters, Sons & Daughters,” features photographs of 17 transgender people from varying countries and of different races, paired with their personal stories. Photographed by Bruce Weber, many of the models are pictured with a supportive family member, or someone who has helped them through their transition. They’re dressed in brands such as Balenciaga, Derek Lam, and Yves Saint Laurent, because this IS a Barneys ad after all.

In addition to the photographs, each model’s personal journey will be rolled out with videos. The first pair documented outlines the story of Katie Hill and Arin Andrews. Katie was the first transgender student to graduate from her Oklahoma high school in 2012, and the former couple—they remain close friends—first got together when they met at a transgender support group.

It is, indeed, a beautiful campaign, and maybe just one step closer to tackling social issues for those who are discriminated against because of how they look. Nah mean, Barneys? Catch my drift?
