Santigold is bringing her original flair to a new medium. The songstress has joined forces with global brand Stance on a swanky new line of socks. The Santigold Collection features three distinct pairs – all said to be inspired by her love for life, music and travel.
Brooklyn Go Hard, (the first sock pictured below) was influenced by Santi’s music collaboration with Jay Z, which honors her love for the borough. Her truest sock creation, the Gold Links, simply serves as a representation of her admiration for all things gold, while the Kilimanjaro sock was inspired by her trip to Tanzania.
In Santi’s effort to support social sustainability, 20 percent of the proceeds from the Kilimanjaro edition will be donated to charity: water, a non-profit bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. In addition to this collaboration, Santigold is now part of the Stance advocate program “Punks & Poets,” where she will be adding her own flavor to the eclectic roster.
The collection is priced between $14-$20 and will be available for purchase at Stance.com, the Brooklyn Museum, Nordstrom and Colette. Also, keep an eye out for her next sock collection expected to drop sometime this year.
