Michael Dunn will have to wait to hear how many years he’ll be spending behind bars.

The judge in the controversial self-defense case announced that he will delay sentencing for Dunn until the new trial is over.

If you recall, Dunn was convicted on three counts of attempted murder for shooting into a car filled with teens. Jordan Davis, 17, was killed in that shooting, but the jury dead-locked on the murder charge Dunn was facing.

Shortly after the verdict was read, State Attorney Angela Corey announced she and her team would retry Dunn for first-degree murder.

His murder retrial is now scheduled for May 5.
