With the March 31 deadline quickly approaching, the Obama administration has decided to give Americans more time to shop for health care through the federal insurance marketplace. The extension will apply to consumers who have begun the enrollment process on HealthCare.gov, but who cannot or have not finished by Monday. A man in New Jersey was killed Tuesday night when he leaned into the path of an oncoming train at the New Brunswick station and was hit. Several other commuters were injured when they were struck with the man’s body parts. Three were taken to an area hospital and one refused treatment. Read about it here…[HuffPost]

Someone in East Moline, Ill., is gluing razor blades to playground equipment and as a result, a 2-year-old boy was injured. Police have no suspects at this time, but they found nearly a dozen blades glued to monkey bars, slides and other objects at Millennium Park in East Moline. Since the discovery, police have been checking other parks in the city and in nearby communities, but have found no other razor blades. Read about it here…[KWQC]

Middle school girls attending Haven Middle School in the Evanston, Illinois area are protesting a sexist dress code after they were told not to wear shorts, leggings, or yoga pants because those articles of clothing might be “too distracting” for their male peers. Parents and students are now protesting, arguing that it’s not girls’ responsibility to accommodate the boys in their classes. “Not being able to wear leggings because it’s ‘too distracting for boys’ is giving us the impression we should be guilty for what guys do,” one of the students participating in protest, 13-year-old Sophie Hasty, told the Evanston Review. “We just want to be comfortable!” AMEN!
