Welcome to the platinum club.

Lana Del Rey finally sold the millionth copy of her acclaimed debut album Born To Die. It’s been two years since its release and Billboard is reporting that the “Ride” singer/songwriter sold another 5,000 copies this past week, pushing her cumulative sales to 1,001,000 copies.

Lana can probably credit Cedric Gervais’ popular house remix of “Summertime Sadness” for helping her cross the platinum threshold. Surprisingly, Born To Die has been sitting on the Billboard 200 for 112 consecutive weeks since its release in 2012.

Lana’s currently working on her highly anticipated follow-up album, Ultraviolence, which is due out May 1. Hopefully, Lana will move a million copies of her new album too!
