We got new tunes this week from some of hip-hop music’s strongest! Take this new ish from Maryland’s own Logic called “Alright,” which features Big Sean. It’s shame that a “white rapper” (for the most part) is still seen as a gimmick in rap music… only a few get real MC respect. Due to that blatant fact and the dominance of Macklemore and Eminem, guys like Logic have been lost “in the sauce” as of late. “Alright” should wake up the sleepers and silence the naysayers. Logic is the real deal.

Yo Gotti dropped his long awaited debut album last year and did good numbers. The project was loaded with great music including the hit “Cold World” featuring J Cole. Gotti’s back with another trap inspired anthem, “Been Thru It All”. The new Gotti project is coming soon.

Ab-Soul is nothing new but he’s certainly one of the dopest rappers in the game at this present time. If Kendrick Lamar is the QB of Black Hippy, than Ab is most definitely the entire defense. His style alone gives the entire Black Hippy clique that “you don’t wanna f with them on the mic” appeal. No tough guy stuff, just raw lyrics. Oh you don’t believe me? Check out his latest song “Tree of Life,” and then get back to me….

One of the hottest newbies coming out of the ATL these days is undoubtedly Young Thug. Say what you want and love him or hate on him, Thug has made a name for himself in the overcrowded rap landscape. Young Thug’s latest assault on our sensible side of consciousness is toxic-ly addictive “OMG.” It’s got dope production from C4 and P-Lo, plus it features West Coast prince IAMSU!. Every dance from the “Nae Nae” to real the Harlem Shake fits perfectly here.

KeKe Palmer, where have you been? We almost forgot you but then this new joint “Ride The Beat” leaked this week featuring the homie B.o.B. Ms Palmer sounds so refreshing over this new Bangladesh produced track. Of course it doesn’t hurt that Bobby Ray adds a few verses to give “Ride The Beat” a next level finish. Hopefully this will translate with KeKe’s listeners.
