Since the Harlem Renaissance, Harlem has been lauded for its crazy culture. It’s also known for being one of the livest boroughs, birthing the best musicians (hello, Dipset), artists, and restaurants. C’mon, they even have their own dance!
Although Brooklyn may have taken over as the latest hip New York area, Harlem is experiencing a creative re-emergence. GQ decided to check out “New Harlem” in a piece entitled “Harlem Reshuffled,” featuring some of the neighborhood’s hottest newcomers and legends. Of course, they couldn’t do a spread showcasing Harlem style without A$AP Mob, Cam’ron, and Juju draped in some of the finest threads from the likes of Brunello Cucinelli, Prada, Gucci, Balenciaga, and more.
“Harlem has always been known for its swagger and pizzazz,” says A$AP Rocky. “I get my high-end look downtown, but my street style comes from uptown.”
