Your favorite morning “wake-me-up” is getting sued! According to the federal lawsuit that was filed, a Starbucks customer ordered the Oprah Chai Tea last fall in Buffalo, NY and noticed the staff added heroin, hallucinogens, and Ambien.Vernon Charles Allen Merriweather also said he when he applied for a job at the Starbucks and was told “We don’t hire n*****.” Merriweather – who claimed his tea was spiked 6 months before Oprah’s tea even debuted – is suing Starbucks, Oprah, and 2 Buffalo colleges for a whopping $15 million. That awkward moment. Congressman Curt Lawson got off to a poor start in his new position after mistaking U.S. subcommittee members for Indian officials. The Republican thought he was addressing two members of the Indian government during his speech, but the two officials later revealed they were part of the United States government. Clawson’s colleagues were quick to put it off on his being new to the role. Clawson has apologized for his error, saying: “I made a mistake in speaking before being fully briefed.” [Daily Mail]
WWE world heavyweight wrestling champion Daniel Bryan caught a burglar! The husband of Total Divas star Brie Bella chased down two suspects after they were seen walking out of his house. Bryan was lucky enough to catch one of the men and detain him until police officers could take him into custody. The suspect who was caught was booked into Maricopa County Jail and charged with burglary. The second suspect hasn’t been found yet. [E! Online]
A woman from New Jersey is currently facing multiple charges after allegedly sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl. The victim told authorities 25-year-old Whitney Ball, of Wharton, promised her candy before she was sexually assaulted. Ball allegedly “engaged in multiple acts of digital penetration” and “engaged in multiple acts of sexual contact with” the girl. “The victim also alleged that the defendant punched and kicked her in the stomach on multiple occasions,” the prosecutor’s office said, sometime between June 1, 2013 and April 30, 2014. She is currently being held at the Morris County Correctional Facility. [Daily Mail]
Country star Tim McGraw recently slapped a woman at a concert and is now being slapped with a major lawsuit. The victim, Jesslyn Taylor, has hired a lawyer who has already contacted Tim’s representatives. TMZ reports that the client claims she “was NOT trying to grab Tim’s junk when he hauled off and slapped her. He says she was nothing more than an enthusiastic fan who was part of the show’s ‘interactive environment’ and merely wanted a touch.” Read more here —> [TMZ]
