Days after being accused of violently assaulting his girlfriend, Joe Budden turned himself in to New York City police.
Once in police custody, the rapper was charged with robbery and grand larceny for allegedly taking his girlfriend’s cell phone during their explosive fight. Budden live-tweeted his jail stay, jokingly requesting nudes and suggesting that he’d be out in time to hit the strip clubs that night.

While Joe was cracking jokes, his case is no laughing matter. The New Jersey rapper is accused of having brutally attacked his girlfriend after seeing photos of her with other men. It is reported that he drove to New York City, dragged her out of a restaurant and drove her back to his home, where the beating allegedly continued.
Though he denies these allegations, police plan to continue their investigation.
