Tragedy has struck a town just 20 miles north of Denver, Colorado, as a small plane crashed and killed 5 people, with three of victims pronounced dead at the crash site and two passing away in the hospital. The PA-46 aircraft crashed just near the Erie Municipal Airport. It’s not known if the plane was landing or taking off from the runway. [Fox News]

Joan Rivers is still in serious condition at a New York City hospital after  complications from throat surgery, but her daughter is staying positive. Melissa Rivers recently spoke out thanking fans for their love and support, and told everyone, “we are keeping our fingers crossed.” Her Fashion Police co-stars have also spoken out with prayers and words of support in hopes that Joan will get better soon. Another NFL player has been arrested for domestic violence, as San Francisco 49ers star Ray McDonald was taken into custody early yesterday morning. The police tells reporters that he was taken into the station around 3 AM for allegations of felony domestic violence, which comes just after news that NFL officials would come down harder on domestic violence cases. Governor Rick Perry of Texas is facing some backlash after he sent out a disparaging tweet that included an image that was quite inappropriate for someone in his position. The tweet was later deleted, but the picture read, “I don’t always drive drunk at 3x the legal blood alcohol limit.” Perry has already been indicted this month for accusations of abusing his power. Unfortunately, Michael Sam has not been claimed by another team after being dropped from the St. Louis Rams this week. According to officials, yesterday was the claiming deadline for players, and Sam was not picked up by another team, but he will become a free agent and play on a practice squad if he chooses to do so.
