On Sunday, Selma premiered in NYC and fashion statements weren’t the only thing the stars were focused on making. The biopic chronicles Martin Luther King Jr.’s campaign for peaceful protest in 1965, and some stars took the perfect opportunity to make a political statement by wearing “I Can’t Breathe” t-shirts in honor of Eric Garner.

But as the star and producer of the film, Oprah Winfrey pulled out the fashion stops. The media mogul dazzled in all green everything with a sequined dress and peep toe pumps.

Check out who else was in attendance and who wore what below:

Tia Mowry slayed in a white gown.

Common looked stylish in a colorful suit and tie get-up.

Tyler Perry kept it simple in head-to-toe black.

Corey Reynolds and Wendell Pierce showed support for Eric Garner with #ICantBreathe t-shirts.

OITNB star Danielle Brooks ditched the orange for a more sophisticated look with a black and gray dress and pumps.

Gayle King supported Selma and bestie Oprah in a blue dress paired with sparkly pumps.

Aretha Franklin tapped into her wild side in leopard.

Niecy Nash showed some skin in a revealing black ensemble.
