Mike Epps will star as Richard Pryor in the upcoming biopic about his life, and now the late comedian’s widow is dishing on why Epps was the perfect choice for the role.

In a recent interview with Madame Noire, Jennifer Lee Pryor had this to say:

I think Mike has a rawness about him that is very similar to Richard’s rawness. You know what I mean? Nick is a delightful person, I think he’s a very nice guy and I think the same of Marlon, but I don’t feel their rawness. That’s not an insult, it’s just a fact. Some people look kind of shattered when they walk into a room and Mike’s got that vulnerability and you can identify that. Marlon doesn’t have that, nor does Nick. They’re both very talented and their both very likable, they’re both great guys and they’ll obviously be in the business for a very long time, but…it’s just different. When you’re going to play Richard, who’s a very raw person, you have to be able to embody that and identify with that, and Mike can do both.

Most likely, Nick Cannon would’ve done his thing. But you win some, you lose some. Will you be tuning in?

Tiffany Pollard, also known as New York from I Love New York, is returning to VH1!

According to the latest, New York’s new show will not be like her other reality tv endeavors, as her mom will star alongside her. TMZ reports:

Tiffany (AKA New York) made it clear back in the day … if you get in her face you better run. But we’re told that’s all changing on her new untitled show that began taping in L.A. this week.

Production sources tell us it will be a completely different NY … she’s breaking away from “Flavor of Love” style dating shows and getting real personal with her mom, Sister Patterson. Amen.

There’ll be less of her too … she just finished shooting an episode of “Botched” where she got a breast reduction and nose job.

Dare we say it? This is exciting.

Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s husband will not be prosecuted after his involvement in a car crash that left a 23-year-old man dead.

TMZ reports:

“Modern Family” star Jesse Tyler Ferguson‘s husband slammed into another driver and killed him after what the victim’s family calls an illegal move — but he WON’T be prosecuted … TMZ has learned.

Justin Mikita was driving his Audi in L.A. last November when he crossed over a double yellow line into oncoming traffic … attempting to turn left.

23-year-old Nick Trela was riding his Honda motorcycle in the opposite direction and slammed into Mikita’s car as it was turning left. Trela died from his injuries.

The site goes on to say that Mikita will not be prosecuted for vehicular manslaughter, because according to authorities, Trela “was partly to blame because he was speeding.”

Also:

In addition, sources connected to Mikita’s legal team say there are several witnesses who say Mikita made a legal left turn through a break in the double yellow.

Although Mikita won’t be prosecuted, he’s being sued by Trela’s family.

Mikita tells TMZ … “This is a horrible tragedy. I want to respect the family and the process, so I am not going to discuss any details of the accident or the complaint at this time.”

We pray for the victim’s family.
