Many might know her as an actress, and some may know her as a singer, but in addition to both, Kat Graham is a dancer and Wet N Wild Global Beauty Ambassador.

So it was only right that she performed at the T-Boz Unplugged show starring Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, especially after channeling the hit TLC song “What About Your Friends” in her single “1991.”

“I feel like my whole album is a tribute album to Tionne,” Graham laughed. “I wanted to have an album that felt ’90s.”

The concert, sponsored by Wet N Wild, was held in Hollywood at the Avalon. In addition to Graham, performers included girl group SWV, Kianna Brown, Melrose, and Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs N Harmony. Disney star Zendaya served as the host.

The event, which aimed to bring awareness to sickle-cell anemia, a disease T-Boz suffers from, also raised money for the Sickle Cell Foundation Support Group. This was one of the many reasons Graham wanted to be a part of the project.

“Tionne has had a huge effect on who I am as a music artist and who I am as a person,” said the 26-year-old. She explained that a lot of celebrities who suffer from health issues are very private about things and she admires the fact that T-Boz uses her platform to bring attention to other people who may be going through the same thing.

In other news, The Vampire Diaries star has the support of Babyface, as well as a single featuring him entitled “Secrets.” Her debut album Roxbury Drive is also currently out on iTunes. Though she wants to continue to work with Babyface, her dream is to have a supergroup with Missy Elliott and Kelis.

As she continues to put out more singles and take on more roles, Graham said she can’t choose between either acting or music: “That’s the goal: to do it all like Sammy Davis and Josephine Baker.”
