In honor of the life of Natalie Cole, the fallen singer’s friends and family gathered to celebrate the star Monday morning. The funeral, lasting about three hours, was full of love and high praise of the artist. Celebrities including Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson and Kurt Carr all had wonderful things to say about the legend. Her family released a statement saying, “Natalie fought a fierce, courageous battle, dying how she lived … with dignity, strength and honor. Our beloved mother and sister will be greatly missed and remain UNFORGETTABLE in our hearts forever.” [PEOPLE]
