It looks like we’ll be yelling Free Guwop for at least another year.

Earlier this month, Brick Squad 1017’s Instagram proudly announced that “Guwop get out in March 2016,” and deleted all of Gucci’s social media accounts.

Since then, the post has been deleted with two new pictures offering updates on Gucci’s supposed release. One shows Gucci alongside his lawyer with a caption that reads “So Gucci Mane NOT release on march #Fuck12 #FreeGucci 🔓🔓🔓.”

Twelve, of course, is the police.

Pigeons and Planes emailed Gucci’s friend and engineer Sean Paine, who revealed why all of his social media accounts were deleted: “[Gucci Mane] wants to wait until he gets out to build anticipation and resurface everything under the new Gucci brand,” he said.

The rapper has been locked up since 2013 for violating parole stemming from a firearm possession charge.

Don’t worry, we’re sure a little thing like being incarcerated won’t stop Gucci from releasing new music.
