Funerals are already emotionally draining enough, the absolute last thing anyone needs is for porn to start playing during the service.

But that’s what happened at a funeral in Cardiff, London for a man named Simon Lewis and his son, who were killed in a car accident. During the funeral, there were four screens displayed around the room with tributes to the dearly departed playing on each. However, one of the screens was hooked up to a Smart TV, and may have picked up a stray signal over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth – and began to play porn.

I look at my congregations instead of the TV screen, but when I heard this noise and members of the congregation moving towards the screen, I realized something was wrong. Members of the family were very distressed. Thankfully an engineer came to fix it and turn it off. It seems to be some kind of electronic accident,” said Reverend Lionel Fanthorpe, who was leading the service.

Fanthorpe also said that Lewis’ father-in-law was rightfully upset following the ordeal, which lasted a few seconds.

The deadly car accident occurred on New Year’s Eve, when Simon was driving with his pregnant wife and three-year-old daughter. “Lewis’ wife Amanda, who was also in the car, was pregnant with Simon Lewis Jr. She gave birth by emergency caesarean section three days after the crash, but the boy did not survive,” Fox News reports.

May the father and son rest in peace.
