Facebook might be the new place to cop sneakers.

At the annual F8 developer conference this week, Mark Zuckerberg revealed that Facebook Messenger will let you buy sneakers by communicating with a bot. Zuckerberg mentioned the huge news during his keynote address at the conference.

The new messaging platform won’t be “command-line” bots, but will be more featured and similar to apps.

To demonstrate the new feature, a presenter used eCommerce site Spring to show how to purchase sneakers directly from the Messenger app. The platform will soon be open to all Facebook business, which could make picking up the latest releases a bit less stressful.

Bots are usually negatively viewed in the sneaker world because they’re often used by people to auto-buy sneakers in bulk and sell them at huge mark ups. But times are a-changing.
