HBO premiered their new film All The Way starring Bryan Cranston and Anthony Mackie in New York City Tuesday evening.

The exclusive premiere party went down in The Appel Room at Lincoln Center in Manhattan, where guests enjoyed cocktail hour and a recreation of the 1964 Democratic National Convention.

The Jay Roach-directed film is an adaptation of the Tony award-winning Broadway All The Way, which examines the turbulent first year of Lyndon B. Johnson’s presidency after John F. Kennedy’s assassination. In a time when the United States was in turmoil, All The Way depicts LBJ’s struggle to satisfy southern Democratic Party leaders and the moral obligation of the historic Civil Rights Act.

The special screening ended with Georgetown University professor Michael Eric Dyson moderating an intriguing conversation about race and politics with the film’s cast and crew.

All The Way airs exclusively on HBO on Saturday, May 21 at 8:00PM ET/PT. For more information, click here. All The Way will also be available on HBO NOW, HBO GO and HBO On Demand.
