When it comes to being Lil Wayne‘s public punching bag, Birdman claims he’s finished and done.

According to reports, the Cash Money CEO insists that there’s no way the label can drop Tha Carter V because Wayne has the master recordings himself. Baby denies having anything to do with the delay of the rapper’s highly anticipated album, and sources say he’s getting fed up with Wayne’s threats to retire.

Reports state that Weezy does in fact own a physical copy of the album, but refuses to hand it over to Birdman until their money issues are solved. Wayne claims he was owed an $8 million advance for the record, plus another $2 million upon its completion. Despite Lil Wayne’s desire to release the album, he’s said before that he’d never leak Carter V on the Internet for free.

Unfortunately, fans just have to play the waiting game until Cash Money coughs up the dough.
